上海市工商业联合会钢铁贸易商会是上海市商会指导下的非营利性行业组织，由部份上海民营钢贸企业发起，于2004年9月27日正式成立，至2005年末拥有会员266家，会员企业总注册资本金32亿元，会员总贸易额1300亿元,从业人数8705人。

商会遵循《中国工商业联合会章程》和《上海市工商业联合会钢铁贸易商会章程》开展活动。商会的最高权力机构是会员大会，执行机构为理事会，常设机构为秘书处，秘书处下设各部门。

根据市领导"服务企业、规范行业、发展产业"的办会要求，商会以建成"钢铁企业的乐园"作为自身的发展目标定位，以"联志、联谊、联商"和"维市、维权、维信"为工作方针。在商会目标方针的指导下，第一届理事会的三年工作实施计划为，第一年，做实、做活、做声势；第二年，做精、做广、做实体；第三年，做强、做大、做品牌。商会从以下几个方面开展具体工作：

一、通过制定行规行约、行业质量规范、服务标准，开展周期性评优等活动，谴责欺诈、褒扬诚信，在会内倡导"诚信经营、规范服务"精神，引导会员守法自律，维护钢铁贸易企业良好的社会形象。

二、帮助协调解决会员企业生产经营中遇到的各类问题。如产品推介、联合采购、库存调剂、融资担保、贸易对话等等。

三、通过与政府有关部门和各专业机构的沟通，为会员争取各种合法权利，实现贸易经营便利化；并展开有效公关，传递企业呼声，维护合法权益。

四、通过商会网站和会刊，以及各种专题研讨会、报告会和企业家沙龙，为会员提供交流和学习的平台，并收集分析行业内外各类信息，研判大势，帮助会员准确把握商机，提高企业经营管理水平，争取更大赢面。

五、建立和加强与国内外各兄弟商会、各相关企业、各类社会服务机构的联系，为会员寻找商机，实现产业横向与纵向联合。

六、通过与各类咨询机构的合作，为会员提供企业管理策划、培训等服务。

七、创建各类娱乐活动俱乐部，展开活动，达到沟通感情、修身养性，提高工作质量、提高生活质量的目的。

商会成立以来，在行业内初步形成了一支较为强壮的会员队伍，这支队伍在规范、自律、团结、向上的道路上一步一步地向前迈进。商会通过各项活动的有效展开，获得了广大会员的认同，受到了社会各界的注目，日益显现出强大的活力和吸引力。随着国家对经济发展方向的不断调整，钢铁业正面临着整合和提高的巨大变革。钢贸商会在市工商联的正确指导下，在全体会员的热情参与和积极努力下，以坚定的信心、足够的耐心，以"正气、大气、义气、志气"的铁哥们精神团结合作，将创造出骄人的业绩，为钢铁产业和社会的发展做出贡献。

Jointlyinitiatedbysomeprivate-ownedsteelcompaniesonSeptember27,2004,ShanghaiFederationofIndustry&CommerceSteelChamberofCommerce(SFICSCC)servesasakindofnon-profit-makingguildswhichispilotedinbusinessbyShanghaiFederationofIndustry&Commerce(SFIC).Bytheendof2005,SFICSCChavebeenattractingalotofenterprises,amongwhich266companieshaveprocuredmembership.ThosememberspossessregisteredcapitalofRMB3.2billion,handlebusinessturnoverofRMB130billionannually,andemploystaffover8705.

SFICSCCoperateshisbusinessstrictlyintheframeworkofstipulationsof"ConstitutionofSFIC"and"ConstitutionofSFICSCC".Inordertoachieveefficientfunction,generalassemblyissetasSFICSCC'stoporganofpower,anddirectorateisitsexecutivebody.ThestandingbodyofSFICSCCisitssecretariat,underwhichseveralfunctionaldepartmentsaretakingchargeofroutineduties.

Inanswertoappealsofmunicipalgovernmentfor"ServingEnterprises,StandardizingTrade,DevelopingIndustry",SFICSCChavepersistentlybeenpursuingtheenvisionedgoalofbeingfamilyofsteelcompanies,andcarryingouttheworkingguidelineofpromotingcommunicationandcooperationbetweenmembersandprotectingtheirlegalrightandfairlyreputation.Withthisinmind,thefirstsessionofdirectoratedrawsanimplementingplanforthenear3years.Thatis,inthefirstyear,SFICSCCputsitseffortintoresolvingmembers'problems,exploitingmoreflexiblemeasurestoprovideservicesformembers,andhelpingthembuilduptheircreditandreputation.Aftercompletingplanoffirstyear,inthesecondyear,SFICSCCemphasizesitstargetsonfurtherimprovingitsservicequality,broadeningitsservicescope,anddevelopingmoreentities.Withtheendeavorofpreviousperiod,inthethirdyearSFISCSSalsoattachimportancetoitselfdevelopment,andshootatbeingstrongerandlarger,andobtainingmoreprestigeatthesametime.
